This is a classic novel about a girl named Alice who follows a little white rabbit, who strangely was carrying a pocket watch, into a hole. Not an ordinary hole, but a deep hole. It is filled with book shelves and armchairs and so on. Once she hits the bottom – which she does eventually – she finds a door and some food and drink. The strange victuals cause Alice to shrink and after a while she is small enough to squeeze through the door (which was tiny anyway) and into the crazy realm of Wonderland…A great story.

When Alice sees a white rabbit in a waist coat she thinks she is dreaming but when she hears the rabbit exclaim “oh,dear ! Oh,dear! I will be late !” She follows it down a lage hole where once inside she meets many odd animals and people ! I love how this book because it’s so different and strange!

I enjoyed reading this book my favourite part is when Alice goes big and then small and I particularly like it when she meet’s the blue caterpillar.

  17. Mr Milne says:

“Who in the world am I? Ah, that’s the great puzzle,” as Alice says to herself at one point. Such a brilliant book that it has become a part of our shared culture – ‘down the rabbit hole’, ‘off with his head’, the Mad Hatter’s tea party, the Cheshire cat, Alice’s growing and shrinking, the amusing and thought-provoking wordplay and riddles, the rude and contemptuous caterpillar, the crazy game of croquet and trial of the Jack of Hearts. I especially treasure the extraordinarily beautiful and lyrical last few pages, when the sights and sounds of Alice’s dream are explained. A unique and timeless book.
