I love this book. The Three sisters all have different ambitions.

  2. mmaccallumhall says:

A story about 3 girls chasing after their dreams.

  3. Mr Milne says:

Much loved story of the three Fossil sisters (Posy, Pauline and Petrova) growing up and pursuing their different dreams. The girls are different from one another in looks, character and interest (they are not blood relations, having each been adopted by Gum (Great-Uncle Matthew), an eccentric palaentologist). There are struggles and set backs along the way, but the book has a hopeful ending, with each of the sisters now young adults and at the beginning of the next part of what promises to be interesting lives. Not a book that particularly appealed to me, but I know that it’s a favourite for many, read and re-read as child and adult. I like the comment on this book by Sylvie Strong, saying that ‘It’s the only realistic book that she’s every enjoyed reading…’

I listened to Ballet Shoes and still thought it was a wonderful book. It is about 3 girls that a brought up to be ballerinas. It made me feel sad at some stages, for example, when I heard that the person who adopted them died. I am reading another book by her called “White Boots” – i haven’t finished it yet but I think it is more exciting than Ballet Shoes.

I really like this book. I love the way the author describes the lives of the three girls as they grow up with their guardian, Sylvia. I also like that they all have different likes and dislikes, because we’re all different. This book is great and I’d recommend it to anyone.

I just could not get enough of it ,often I would stay up half the night because it’s such a page turner . Pauline ,Petrova and Posy fossil are not the same at all but they have made a voul and they’re going to keep it

I enjoyed reading this book you really get to know the characters I like it when they go to ballet school posy and Pauline like it but petrova gets bored and would rather be playing with cars or working at the garage.

I have read this book several times and watched the movie multiple times. I love it. It’s the only realistic book I have ever enjoyed reading. I highly recommend it. I have also a necklace which is like Posy’s. The 3 necklace’s are given by Gum their carer who travels the world and collecting stuff. Including 3 children…

I found ballet shoes a magical, mystical and lovely book to read and to listen to. It is all about three girls called Posy, Petrova and Pauline. Posy wants to be a dancer. Pauline an actress and Petrova a is happy playing with cars and engines.

I loved ballet shoes as its just very real. Well it would be real if we still had shillings and stuff like that. It was written in the 1920s so a very long time ago. What I also love about this book is that loads of people go through the stages of stardom as Pauline and Posy did. Showy offy, bossy, rude in the first stage. Then understanding what being a star is. Overall, I really liked this book and I would really recommend it.
